1. Installation of cylinder liner

(1) Put the cylinder liner without water stop ring into the cylinder block for pre-test, so that it rotates flexibly without obvious shaking. At the same time, check whether the step size of the cylinder liner above the cylinder plane is within the specified range.

(2) Regardless of whether the cylinder liner is new or old, all cylinder liners should be fitted with new water stop rings. The rubber of the water stop ring should be soft and free of cracks, and the size should meet the requirements of the original machine.

(3) When the cylinder liner is pressed in, some soapy water can be applied around the water stop ring for lubrication, and some can also be appropriately applied inside the cylinder. Then, according to the serial number of the marked cylinder bore, gently push the cylinder liner into the corresponding cylinder bore. Use the special installation tool to slowly press the cylinder liner completely into the cylinder body so that the shoulder closely fits the upper surface of the cylinder body. Slamming with a hammer is not permitted.

After installation, the deformation (size reduction and out-of-roundness) of the stop ring, measured with an inside diameter micrometer, should not be greater than 0. If the deformation is large, pull out the cylinder liner, repair the stop ring, and then reinstall it. After the cylinder liner is installed, the upper shoulder of the cylinder liner should protrude 0.06 ~ 0.12 mm from the cylinder plane, and this dimension should be tested before installing the water stop ring. When the protruding amount is small, the appropriate thickness of copper skin can be padded on the shoulder of the cylinder liner; when the protruding amount is too large, rotate the upper shoulder of the cylinder liner.

2. Installation of piston rings

Piston ring, gas ring and oil ring. General use ink stone gas ring and oil ring, some engines use two gas ring and an oil ring. They are installed in the piston ring groove, relying on the elasticity of the cylinder wall, with the piston up and down movement. Once the piston ring leakage, a large number of high-temperature gas from the gap between the piston and the cylinder to escape. Not only the heat received by the piston from the top cannot be transferred to the cylinder wall through the piston ring, but also the outer surface of the piston and the piston ring are strongly heated by the gas, which ultimately leads to burns of the piston and the piston ring.

When replacing the piston rings, please note the following points: (1) Select qualified piston rings, and when installing them on the piston, use special piston ring pliers to open the piston rings moderately, avoiding excessive force. (2) Pay attention to the direction when assembling the piston ring. (3) In order to prevent the axial movement of the piston pin from damaging the cylinder liner, install spring retaining rings in the retaining ring grooves at both ends of the piston pin seating hole to fix the axial position of the piston pin. The piston pin, on the other hand, can be installed by the heating method.

3、Installation of piston connecting rod set

After repair and inspection, the parts of the piston connecting rod set can be assembled into an assembly. Before assembly, the parts and oil passages should be thoroughly cleaned and cleaned with compressed air. Pay attention to the following points when assembling:

(1) The clearance between the engine locking ring and the piston pin should be 0.10 ~ 0.25 mm; the depth of the locking ring embedded in the groove should not be less than 2/3 of the diameter of the locking ring steel wire.When installing the piston and connecting rod, the markings should be clearly visible and aligned.

(2) After assembling the piston connecting rod set, check the perpendicularity between the hole of the big end of the connecting rod and the centerline of the piston skirt, and the value shall not be less than 0.05 ~ 0.08 mm.

(3) Check the weight difference of the piston and connecting rod assembly of the same engine, and the value shall not exceed the specified value.

(4) In order to make the piston ring easy to install in the cylinder, the piston ring is usually wrapped with a special tool or a ring hoop made of copper plate and pushed into the cylinder with the piston ring opening closed.

(5) When assembling, check the cylinder number and forward marking of the piston and connecting rod, the upward marking of the piston ring, and the color grouping marking of the piston pin and pin seat hole.
